Sub Branch - RSL NSW's mission is to respect, support and remember our veterans and their families  

Sub-Branch membership is ‘free’ which includes social membership to the Davistown RSL Club Ltd. Membership is open to ex-service and serving members of the Australian Defence Force who have had at least 1-day honourable service. Those who have served in Commonwealth and Allied forces may also be welcome to join. To join you will need to fill out an application form, bring your Certificate of Service or Discharge Certificate along with photo ID. You are only allowed to be a Full sub-Branch member of one RSL sub-Branch. If you have a Full sub-Branch membership at another sub-Branch, you may join as an Associate member, in which case you will need to bring your RSL NSW card with a photo ID. Associate membership is ‘free’ which includes social membership.

 

The RSL sub-Branch meets in the club at 11.00am on the 2nd Tuesday (in Jan, Feb, May, Jun, Sep and Oct) and 2nd Sunday (in Mar, Apr, Jul, Aug, Nov and Dec).  Matters discussed are, State Branch directives, sub-Branch administration such as finances and executive meetings, reports on Anzac Day, VP/Long Tan Day (Vietnam Veterans Day), Remembrance Day, and other commemorative activities, plus reports on welfare matters and our support for veterans and other general business. A large part of the club's mission is supporting the welfare of ex-servicemen and women. The sub-Branch welcomes new members particularly younger members as a lot of matters discussed relate to the welfare of our serving and recently retired ADF veterans.

Davistown RSL Sub-Branch Auxiliary

The Auxiliary are a group of volunteers who raise money for the Davistown RSL sub-Branch. All money raised goes to the Welfare of current and ex-servicemen and women and their families. They also received special mention as one of the top 10 fundraisers for 2019-2020 in the state!

On the 2nd Tuesday or Sunday (see above) of each month the sub-Branch meets. We sell tickets on the day and all money raised goes to the veterans’ community. On Anzac Day and Remembrance Day we lay a wreath at the memorial of the club, and we also sell badges prior to these events. All the members are passionate about the welfare of our veteran community. We appreciate and support all the sub-Branch members that help us to sell badges and welcome new members. To find out more please contact:

Memorabilia Display 

The RSL Sub-Branch has an extensive display of war memorabilia in the foyer of the club. Housed in 11 display cabinets, there are items from the Boer War through to more recent conflicts such as Afghanistan. The display covers all services, Navy, Army, and Air Force and comprises a mixture of personal items and war memorabilia donated by club members. The weapons cabinet houses many rifles and a bugle used on the Gallipoli Peninsula. Visitors can also see a replica of the HMAS Patricia Cam, built locally on Brisbane Water and sunk by enemy action on 22nd January 1943.

Davistown RSL Bowling Club 

Davistown RSL Bowling Club is a community club where friends can meet and enjoy a game of lawn bowls . The club provides for both social and competitive bowls and has two bowling greens adjacent to the modern clubhouse and overlooking the stunning Brisbane Water. The origins of the club date back to 1973.  Not just for the elderly the game is for all ages and levels of experience. The Bowling Club is a focal point for the communities of the three townships of Davistown, Saratoga and Yattalunga and beyond, including Green Point and Kincumber . It is a highly successful club, held in high regard by the Central Coast bowls community as a friendly club with excellent participation and success rates in District and State competitions. The Davistown RSL Bowling Club was named Club of the Year in 2016.

Davistown RSL Amateur Fishing Club

If you have thought of joining a fishing club now is the time to take the plunge.

The Community based Davistown RSL Amateur Fishing Club offers a variety of social and competition events for novice and seasoned anglers.  The club is family friendly and believes in the responsible use of our natural resources. Becoming a member is a great way for local fishing enthusiasts to enjoy their fishing experiences with others, to find out where the best fishing spots are, and when to fish them.

 The club meets the first weekend of every month. Lines down 6am Saturday, lines up Sunday 12pm. The weigh in then begins at Davistown RSL Club BBQ area, here you can see the array of fish and crabs weighed in and be part of a friendly social group. The club has an annual presentation and Christmas party, and other social events throughout the year. They offer several different fishing divisions, men's, ladies, veterans, sub Junior and junior and members can fish the estuary, deep sea and rock and beach divisions.

Membership is only $25 per year or $50 for a family. 

 

So if you’re a keen fisherman or just an angler who likes to drop in a line occasionally come down and meet the Davistown RSL Fishing Club. 

They have 6 divisions from:

  • Veterans,
  • Mens ,
  • Ladies,
  • Juniors boys
  • Girls 12-18′s and
  • Sub-juniors under 12′s.

The competition season runs from January until December. There are also special catch and release lure days and a deep sea charter day competitions throughout the year.

The Davistown RSL Ladies Golf Club is a social golf club which has been running for over thirty years with the support of Davistown RSL Club.

Our membership consists of experienced and new players and we are here to encourage and support new players to this amazing game. 

Membership is only $30.00 per year.

Our games are held usually once a month either on a Sunday or Monday at different golf courses on the Central Coast or around the Lower Hunter area at a cost of $25.00 per game. Our club subsidizes any additional costs.

Twice a year, usually in March and October, we arrange an away trip which is a lot of fun and a perfect opportunity for our ladies to really get to know each other.

Your level of experience is not important, and a handicap is not essential.

Club shirts are available at your own cost.

Davistown RSL Men’s Golf Club - The Davo Social Golf Club

If you enjoy a regular game of golf come and meet our Golf Club members.  Games are generally  twice a month on Sunday mornings. Courses played are over the coast and lower hunter. A playing schedule can be obtained on request Membership is $50 and $40 per game.  Membership  membership is open to adults with a minimum golf ability.

We have a dedicated snooker room off our main bar area with three full sizes snooker tables for members nad their guests.

Snooker players of all levels can enjoy a friendly atmosphere. It is handicapped to give everyone an equal chance of winning on the night. Good luck to both Old and Bold teams! Good luck to the Billiards team! Good luck to future entrants in Club Championships and Thursday night Social Comp!

Central Coast Rowing Club

Welcome to the Central Coast Rowing Club (CCRC) on the beautiful waters of Kincumber Broadwater. We are a welcoming and fun loving club whose members all share a passion for rowing and enjoy the physical and social benefits of this sport.

CCRC is based at Kincumber Boardwater with boats being housed within Davistown RSL Club grounds. CCRC participates in recreational and competitive programs catering for junior, senior and masters age groups at all levels of ability.
