Davistown RSL Bowling Club

The Davistown Bowling Club was formed on 23rd August 1973 with a membership of 93. Only 33 of these members had previous bowling experience. Three foundation members, Norm Gurney, Joe O’Grady and Bob Middleton.  Norm Gurney is still active with the club today.

The first licensed clubhouse was a small cottage and the first green came into play in 1974. A second green was added in 1976. In 1986 the club occupied a new club house that was built by members adjacent to the greens.
